GMCMF's new Resident Director

Students and faculty will soon be meeting our new Resident Director, Amanda Stenroos! 

Violinist Amanda Stenroos currently enjoys a diverse career in western Massachusetts as a performer, organizer and teacher. Amanda has taught and performed in Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia and Bolivia. She recently attended the Brancaleoni International Music Festival in Piobbico, Italy and toured Germany and Prague. She completed undergraduate studies at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, home to the oldest collegiate Bach Festival in the nation, with Julian Ross and Annie Fullard, and graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with Elizabeth Chang.

Amanda is co-founder and production assistant for the UMass Amherst Bach Festival and Symposium, and works as contractor for various musical organizations throughout the Pioneer Valley. She is the General Manager for Lighthouse Chamber Players, a chamber music festival on Cape Cod. Amanda teaches at the Northampton Community Music Center as well as helping customers select fine stringed instruments at Stamell Strings in Amherst, MA.
