An intensive master class series at GMCMF ’18

This season the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival will provide its Emerging Artists with a particularly exciting series of guest master classes. These events are open to the public and free of charge. All are in the UVM Recital Hall unless noted.

On Saturday June 3:00 PM, Philip Setzer of the Emerson String Quartet will make his first visit to GMCMF for a quartet master class.

Thursday, July 5 at 4:30 PM, Matt Haimovitz will give a chamber music class as part of his fifth residency at the festival.

On Friday, July 13 at 10:30 AM, renowned violinist Soovin Kim will make a return visit to GMCMF for a guest chamber music master class

Violaine Melançon, violinist of the Peabody Trio, has given a magnificent chamber music class each summer the Festival has been in existence. Her 2018 class will take place on Sunday, July 15 at 7:30 PM.


Distinguished violist Paul Neubauer will work with GMCMF studentds in chamber music master class on Monday, July 16, at 10:30 AM.
On Thursday, July 19, at 1:00 PM violinist Chad Hoopes of the Chamber Music Spcirty of Lincoln Center will offer a master class at the Catholic Student Center, as part of a residency that will include his performance on the final concert of the artist faculty series Friday, July 20th.
