Billing and Payment Info
Tuition payments are due in two parts: 50% of the total amount due to be paid by April 1, with the remaining balance due by May 1; you will receive a billing statement with details via email soon after accepting your spot in the festival.

Tuition is non-refundable. An agreement to participate in GMCMF creates commitments to the program's other participants. Many others are affected if a student leaves the program early, therefore no refunds will be made in the case of early departure.

APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID

The festival devotes a large part of its budget to financial aid, in the form of scholarship and resident assistant positions. Around 70% of our students receive need-based scholarship aid. All applicants may apply for financial assistance as part of the application process. Eligible students may also apply for Resident Assistant positions.

Applicants must submit a completed application in order to be considered for a scholarship. Students with larger awards will be asked to take on a work-study task of approximately 3 hours per week.

Resident Assistant positions

The Festival selects several students each year who are 21 or older to serve as Resident Assistants. These are the qualifications we are looking for in RA candidates:

  • a documented experience supervising younger students
  • a high level of playing
  • strong communication skills
  • Willingness to take responsibility for creating and maintaining a positive social environment for all students

RAs will live among younger festival students and handle significant supervisory and driving responsibilities. RAs must be comfortable operating 12-passenger vans. In return, they receive a scholarship award which covers festival tuition. Potential RAs will be required to undergo a background check and to submit a clean driving record in advance of final selection.

RAs will be expected to arrive early to the festival on Thursday, June 20 and stay until late-afternoon of Monday, July 22. Anyone interested in being considered for an RA position should email a resume, two to three references, and cover letter to Amanda Stenroos including details of related experience, in addition to submitting a complete and timely application to the Festival including a scholarship application.

2024 festival & scholarship application deadline: February 1, 2024

Late applications will be accepted on a space available basis after February 1.
Application fee increases from $79 to $99 after January 15.
