In Summer 2024, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival celebrates 20 years since its founding in 2004 by violinist Kevin Lawrence. Since the first festival at University of Vermont, GMCMF has hosted thousands of students each summer in Vermont, along with countless guest artists, ensembles and clinicians. In 2021, the festival found a new home at Saint Michael's College in Colchester and welcomed new Artistic Director Elizabeth Chang to the helm after Lawrence's retirement.
The 2024 season will include the newly established Fellowship Program, Quartet Hops, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival Suzuki Institute, Artist Faculty concert series, our Emerging Artists and Mansfield Solo Concert series for students and more. Special anniversary performances by some of the leading string artists will be announced soon! We look forward to celebrating with you in Vermont this June and July.
