In recent years, the Chang–Sun duo has appeared internationally in South America and Asia, as well as throughout the United States. They have frequently performed the complete cycles of Beethoven and Brahms sonatas and are recognized for their thoughtfully curated programs, which often frame the music within its broader cultural and historical context—illuminating the composers’ lives, the aesthetic currents of their time, and the connections between past and present musical traditions.

Violinist Elizabeth Chang enjoys a dynamic career as performer, teacher, and arts administrator. She is Artistic Director of Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, where each summer she leads a vibrant community of 250 students, faculty, and staff here in Burlington. Beyond her work at Green Mountain, Ms. Chang is Professor of Violin at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a member of the Pre-College faculty at the Juilliard School. She is also the founder and director or co-director of the Lighthouse Chamber Players, the Five College New Music Festival, and the UMass Amherst Bach Festival and Symposium. As a violinist, she maintains an active chamber music career, collaborating with many of today’s most distinguished artists. She has appeared as soloist, chamber musician, and master class teacher across South America, Europe, and Asia. Her recordings include Sonatas and Myths: Works by Szymanowski, Dohnányi, and Bartók, released on Bridge Records with pianist Steven Beck, which was selected as a 2024 Recording of the Year by the Audiophilia. www.elizabethchang.net
